Hi Angie, thank you for your vulnerability! I love this post, in particularly 2 parts. 1) Is there someone willing to love me for who I am? A similar question that left me stuck for a long time has been, "Will those around me still love me if I no longer continue to achieve and provide for them in the same way?" Now I am happy to say they do. 2) I also loved your share on your Odyssey Plans and your closing takeaway on "thinking" we desire a dream job and finding out we have no interest in the actual content of the work. I also learned the same through a Design Your Life session and lots of prototyping/experimenting and getting my "dream" jobs. Question for you. As you've experimented, I'm curious to hear how you know when you experiment if something is the right thing? For me, the content of work that fulfills me tends to change but the feeling it provides does not, so I tune into the feeling of lightness and excitement as my compass, which tends to be more heart-centered than head-centered. Also, how much is the cost of the printed version of your book? I see the digital version is $10 but I prefer to read a physical copy. Looking forward to more of your posts. :)
Thank you for sharing your story John! Yes it's only after these big changes that we see how our loved ones continue to support us! I like your judgement of head/heart feelings, I now lean toward my heart feelings, too. Unfortunately for that specific experiment, I had many signs that being a coach is not for me, but I let my head fool my heart, which eventually lead me to leaving the coaching path and become a digital creator (So.. blessing in disguise!?) For paper version it's also $10 dollar for now! I haven't thought super deep about pricing yet, any support is a huge encouragement for me. Just a note that this version is a Chinese version. English version will be my next project! Thank you!
"No more fantasy. Just gotta trade time for words." it's as simple as that, yet we delude ourselves otherwise. You're making such great progress, Angie!
Designing Your Life had a huge impact on how I saw my future as well! Congrats on the book progress. Super inspiring! 🙌🏼
